Hilary is a compassionate and client-centered physical therapist based in San Jose, California, dedicated to helping people move better in the bodies they have. Whether navigating a new diagnosis or managing a long-standing condition, Dr. Register believes that there’s always a way to optimize movement and achieve personal goals. Her confidence in this approach is grounded in her experience working with individuals who have made remarkable strides, even in the face of challenging diagnoses.

Her true passion lies in exploring the powerful connection between the brain and body, especially through the lens of neuroplasticity—the nervous system’s incredible ability to adapt and change. Dr. Register blends evidence-based techniques in vestibular and neurological rehabilitation with practical orthopedic and musculoskeletal care to create personalized treatment plans that support long-term progress. She continues to upskill through active participation in professional groups and continuing education opportunities.

Dr. Register has been licensed as a physical therapist for more than 10 years, but began her career in rehabilitation as a PT aide nearly 20 years ago. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 2014, and holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Jose State University, and is Board Certified in Neurological Physical Therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association. Additionally, she has taught neuro-rehabilitation curriculum and facilitated vestibular rehabilitation continuing education programming. Dr. Register currently serves as a neuro-vestibular rehabilitation consultant to San Jose Sharks hockey team.

Beyond her practice, Hilary enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors, camping, visiting the ocean, cooking, and fitness.
